White flies infestation on Chilli crop, Chemical Control
White flies are whitish flying insects which usually stay behind the surface of the leaves. Both adult and nymph suck sap from the leaves resulting in wrinkled and stunted leaves. The pest also which inhibits photosynthesis.
Severe infestation on leaves White flies secrete honeydew resulting in the development of black fungus sooty mould on the leaves with black colour. The sooty mould on the leaves inhibits the photosynthesis making plants weaker. White flies also spread viral infections from plant to plant with association of ants to get transported.
Following sprays may be administered to control the white flies on chilli and at severe infestations' cases two sprays as listed may be sprayed one after other with 5 - 6 days intervals
