Tomato plants are showing the symptoms of stem blackening infections
Stem blackening is one of the symptomatic disease indication of tomato plants usually caused by fungi and bacteria. Alternaria stem canker, Late blight and early blight of tomato are common fungal diseases and Bacterial canker, a bacterial infection which at high intensity causes stem blackening on tomatoes.
Late blight and early blight diseases are usually more common in cool [15 degree C to 25 degree C] and humid [>85 %] climates but Alternaria stem canker and Bacterial canker are common in higher temperatures also. But now the season is summer and late blight and early blight are no the infections in the images given.
The infection in the tomato plants might be due Alternaria stem canker or Bacterial canker or both one disease as primary and another as secondary infections.
Following sprays may be administered to manage the stem blackening disease on tomato crop and on other susceptible crops like capsicum and potato crops.
