Guava Plants are attacked by plant parasitic nematodes, and all nutrients are consumed by them living in the root zone. Since the leaves won't receive proper nutrition, they are getting shrinked. Incidence of plant parasitic nematodes is more severe because of congenial conditions for nematodes to multiply and invade like higher temperature, humidity and high use of inputs like fertilizers and plant growth promoters. Guava plant is also susceptible to nematodes due to lesser agronomic activities under the shade of the tree.
Regular applications of neem cakes in to the root zone will make the plant parasitic nematodes be away from the root zone.
